CableNut is a tool for optimizing your Internet Connection. We have provided a way to tweak any option you may want to in the adjuster. You can load "CableNut Custom Setting" files that are included with the program to tweak your Internet connection. The following steps are for users of WindowsXP and 2000
Steps
1) Download Cablenut from
http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl01/files/cablenut408.exe
2) Find out your up/down time in Kb/s (Kilobits per sec). You can contact your ISP for this or visit
Speakeasy - Speed Test
3) Run tracert command while downloading a file. The file must be large enough to constantly be downloading for the duration of the tracert process. Look at the latency times and remember the largest one.
4) Now visit
j79zlr's tips and tweaks :: cablenut settings for XP and 2000 if your a WinXP/2000 user or
